This is a lovely Danish Royal treenware (wooden) tankard, carved from a solid piece of wood, including the eared handle. The side bears the Danish Crown over two intertwined letter Cs and two number 7s, which is the Royal Cypher of King Christian VII of Denmark. Under this it is carved with R A S, and under the handle is the carved date of 1788. It stands 5 tall, and is about 2 across the top. The mug is in very good
