Navy) marked fighting knife with USMC style leather scabbard. The markings on the hand guard are as follows: KA BAR and on the opposite side: USN MK2 The USN and MK2 have been stamped out to conceal which was not uncommon for a member of the USMC. In 1944, the US Navy put through a change order to have the markings moved from the blade to the cross guard, so this knife was produced just after that
