Original U.S. Indian Wars and Spanish American War M1878 Canteen Marked to Massachusetts Unit Japanese Flare Guns When the Japanese surrenderedOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice used condition U. S. M1878 Canteen with standard a tan canvas cover and shoulder strap. It is marked on the front with a clear MASS stencil, and the rear is marked K 6 29. We have not been able to locate this unit in records, making this a nice research opportunity. The canteen is complete with the original cork stopper, which is still attached by a chain to a loop around the canteen's neck. The
