This is a fantastic "Mailed Home" grouping, consisting of some German WWII cap insignia glued to a letter mailed home to his mother by Pfc. Elmer W. Cary, ASN 36197052. Per NARA records, Cary was born 1919 in Michigan, and enlisted in the U. S. Army in Kalamazoo, Michigan on April 21st, 1942. The letter itself id dated May 25, 1945, and indicates that at the time Cary's posting was: Battery A. (Security Detach.) 353
