This is a very nice regulation M1902 enlisted peaked cap, which replaced the earlier M1895 pattern. This was the U. S. Army's second example of a visor cap after leaving the traditional kepi design. Like the M1895, it is made made of dark blue wool, and has an enameled leather visor bound with patent leather, lined on the underside with lacquered paper. It has two sky blue bands going around the cap, and a patent
