It does not accept the 26. 5 mm cartridges currently available nor commercial 1 inch cartridges. The bore diameter is 26. 9 millimeters, and it is a top break design, with a breech locking lever on the bottom left frame, right above the Mod. 1917 designation. It is also marked with
