A Vintage 1930's Police lamp known as The Wootton Lantern. It was invented by George WOOTTON, Assistant (Chief) Engineer of the Metropolitan Police. It is a 4 volt electric lamp accumulator which came into use in 1920. This version must be circa 1939 because it has the button on the side for morse code.
