I clearly preferred the 2016 by a long margin

As with the ’14

fresh and sweet

This impressive effort is clearly built-to-age and is going to need it

indeed even silky mouth feel though the gorgeously long finish tightens up quickly as the ripe tannins are extremely firm

Eva Fricke, Rheingau Riesling Vintage:2020 I clearly preferred the 2016The organic 2020 Rheingau Riesling Trocken is clear, intense and complex on the very elegant and finely mineral nose. Supple, structured and persistently salty on the palate, this is a silky, lush and mouth filling Riesling with a beautiful character and terroir expression. The finish is long, crystalline and highly stimulating with salinity and delicate juiciness. This was sourced from Lorch, Kiedrich, Hattenheim, Eltville and other destinations,
